Severely disappointed.. I pre-ordered my game from Toys R Us (probably ~20th of Oct) because they had a pre-order bonus where you lot'd get a free amiibo with the game. Upwardly until today, the tracking information said that I wouldn't get it 'til the day later on Thanksgiving (Fri), which really bummed me out cuz I wanted to play information technology with my petty cousin tomorrow. Needless to say I was excited when information technology came today! And so, here earlier I pack up all my Wii U stuff for tomorrow, I figured I'd open it, get all the updates out of the way, and play it a little, but to my dismay it won't read. Somewhen comes up with an fault bulletin (Error Code: 150-1031) that has no OK button, and so there is no fashion to make it go away. When I then remove the disc the message stays. When I then re-insert the disc, over again non reading, the message goes away and my console subsequently buzzfreezes. Take reset it and retried multiple times.
When I restarted the panel with the disc still in information technology, the ? box icon is nonetheless there and when pressed it brings up Fault Code: 150-2031 with an actual OK push.
Idk what happens if yous try and insert a disc from a foreign region, but that and but a plain faulty disc are my only two theories. The box has the American ratings and fine art and all. The disc looks correct. The box itself is normal. And my Wii U has had no problems with discs to this point. Every other game I've put in to test here reads fine.

I estimate I'thou reaching out for help, advice, and to see if any of y'all had problems at all of your ain. I approximate I might proceed trying for the moment, but I am very let down...

Edit: Hither's the video I made to certificate the problem, if you were wondering: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6vf53pG3TSY
I did get a new game that works great, but I notwithstanding have the bad re-create. Toys R Us did say I should be able to return it no problem.

My thought is that since I told my cuz we were gonnaplay it might go get another copy this night yet or in the morning, and then if I stop up with 2 copies ah well.

Returning it would be the fastest option merely if at that place's no ToysRUs local to yous that could be a problem.

That error has been happening a lot recently. Information technology's yet not clear what is causing it exist it through a Patch or the WiiU itself, but if I were you I'd find a friend who besides has a WiiU to try the game.

If information technology works and then you know it'southward not your game, just your system itself and yous will and so have to send it to Nintendo to become repaired.

I hold. Try the game on another system and if it won't play on that, return it to Toys 'r United states and tell them you desire a different disc.

Does anyone know if information technology's only been happening with retail copies or with all copies dl included?

Its possible for information technology to be a faulty re-create. Or does this relates to the 160 fault lawmaking?

As I stated beneath the link, I got a new copy from Toys R Us that works but fine, but they wouldn't let me render or exchange the bad i because their return database was shut downward for Black Friday. However, the attendant said I should be able to return it at a later date no problem.

My two theories on the bad re-create:

  • It's a faulty re-create, manifestly and unproblematic
    OR
  • It's a non-American disc that made it into an American package, and the effects (as seen in the video) are that of region-lock.
